educationOUR GENERAL OBJECTIVE is to provide job related knowledge, impart skills, bring about change in attitudes, improve productivity, and reduce accidents for self-sustainability and nation building.

Employee Capacity building objective is to increase the technical skills of the employees to enable them to do particular jobs efficiently for positive outcomes.

Why education and skills training?

This department provides skills training needed in the current world.  We prepares people to work as a technician or in various jobs such as a tradesman or an artisan. Vocational education is sometimes referred to as career and technical education. A vocational school is a type of educational institution specifically designed to provide vocational education.

Benefits of vocational training:

  1. Job creators and small scale entrepreneurs spring up as evidenced by established workshops for example in carpentry, plumbing, auto-mechanics, welding and fabrication, building and construction, computing among other trades.
  2. Presence of skilled manpower which supports production.
  3. Self-employed entrepreneurs who reduce the poverty levels
  4. Structural and socio-economic development due to an increase in the supply of goods on the market.
  5. Improvement in community development and livelihood

We offer both campus and online courses with award of certificates and diploma. Our students do skills assessment test at the end of every course examined by Directorate of Industrial Training (DIT).

CIVIL ENGINEERING INTERNSHIP TRAINING

Civil engineering interns spend their days providing vital support for these projects, doing calculations, drafting, modeling, and administrative work.

To be engineering interns you should have a strong academic record, experience in in engineering and structural design, and knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D.  Some employers prefer interns with an Engineer in Training (EIT) designation for positive project results.
